Long Melford Information -Upcoming Lots

Long Melford auction information:

Our next Auction on the 19th of May will be hosted at a new location in Long Melford: Long Melford Old School, Partridge room, Long Melford, Sudbury, CO10 9DX.

The auction is going to be a little different to how the Great Thurlow sale works as we will have the hall for a shorter amount of time, and it is a smaller space. Please take a few minutes to read the below about the sale.

Itinerary of the Long Melford sale:

There will be no valuation day on the Friday before the sale. So, all items need to be entered into the sale by the 11th of May at the latest.

Saturday will be the auction set up day and there will be no viewing on this day.

Sunday the viewing will be open for longer from 8:30am to 11am with an 11am start for the auction.

Item entries:

As this sale will not have a valuation day, we ask that any vendors that would like to enter lots for the Long Melford sale write a list of the items they would like to enter, their reserves (if any) and where possible send pictures prior to a house visit or bringing them to us via Rippingales in Clare.

We will not be entering into the sale the following items:

  • DVD’s
  • Modern books
  • LP’s
  • VHS
  • Large furniture pieces
  • Electrical items (As an auction any electrical item is sold as untested and will have the wire cut off – if the item doesn’t sell this means the item is returned with no wire)
  • Ceramic tea/ Coffee sets (please e-mail pictures first as these are heavy and need a lot of packing. We can advise if they are worth bringing or picking up beforehand)

Vendor Pay outs:

For future auctions we are going to ask vendors how they would like to receive funds on entry of the lots. Our preference would be for BAC transfers as these can be actioned quickly and hopefully prevent any customers arriving before cash is in the shop for collection.
